Monday- FEEL (Yoga & Drumming)

The Monday club will start with a yoga class taught by the amazing Catherine whose passion for children's wellbeing is contagious. Catherine is wholly committed to working with children and her approach is extremely kind and respectful. Her current research both in independent psychology and in her PhD is in bullying and cyberbullying amongst children and she is a volunteer counsellor for ChildLine and Mind. Yoga takes children on a journey from action to relaxation, and Catherine's classes follow a theme and the energy of the group whilst retaining structure.

This yoga session will be followed by a snack break after which the children will have a drumming class taught by Asafo. Asafo's motivational energy will get everyone engaged and having fun. He is an extremely skilled musician and storyteller, with an remarkable gift for working with children and empowering them.

Both teachers' experience will provide the children with a safe and warm environment within which they will be able to flourish and grow in confidence and skills.

Tuesday- MOVE (Dance & Crafts)

Our Tuesday clubs will begin with a dance class taught by Nicola, whose enthusiasm, energy and knowledge will definitely get everyone moving and wanting to move. After a snack break, there will be a crafts session led by our beloved, much experienced and unbelievably creative Rosie. Each half term the children will work on specific crafts project which they will be able to take home. They will be able to choose that project from a range of options which may include journal making, sewing, prop making etc. Other activities will also be available to those who would prefer it such as origami and jewellery making.

Depending on numbers and ages, it is possible that the children will be divided into two groups; whilst one group does the dance class, the other joins in the craft session and then swap.

Both teachers are extremely committed and experienced and our aim with the clubs is to provide children with an environment where they develop skills but, most importantly, where their individuality, their creative voice and their confidence grow exponentially. An extremely well structured club, where safety and freedom can exist side by side.

Thursday- CREATE (Movement & Crafts)

The Thursday club will be centred around a theme which will be explored through movement and craft activities. This is our more open, creativity led day within which, without compromising clarity or structure, our aim is to truly foster each child's own voice and view of the world and of themselves. The small number of spaces for the club will ensure it is possible to truly get to know each child and that which inspires them and/or could be developed.

In the vein of our extremely popular holiday clubs, the club will include warm up tasks, creative dance, contemporary dance, some relaxation sessions, games and group tasks and will vary and adjust, depending on the week's theme. The children will be able to often take home crafts and information about the theme. Rosie will lead the day and, as always, expertly interweave movement and craft activities.

The perfect haven for children to grow and learn and expand. And have so much fun!
